The Complexity of Joint Health Aided with Supplementation

The Complexity of Joint Health Aided with Supplementation

Joints require healthy bones, ligaments, muscles, and lubrication to function optimally. What do scientific studies say about ingredients that support all of these?

The complexity of joint health involves many factors considering the joint allows for a wide range of motion that requires muscles to engage in movement, ligaments that attach the muscles to the bones, proper bone density and lubrication to make the maneuver. The human body has many joints, each of which is susceptible to oxidative stress, inflammation and over-extension, and ultimately, pain.

Finding relief and maintaining joint health takes more than one ingredient alone. However, 24hr Supplement has packaged together a new Joint Support formula featuring nine ingredients widely researched to target the various facets of health in the knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, wrists and elbows. This was no small task as Joint Support manages to cover the whole gamut of joint health deficiencies caused by either lack of nutrients, pro-inflammatory effects, immune-related joint destruction or due to deposit of uric acid crystals.

Among the research, the compounds contained in the triple, metal-complex TurmiZn-OS™ (Curcumin, Tetrahydrocurcumin and Zinc) have been shown to support the infrastructure of the joint and tissues from degradation by normalizing pro-inflammatory markers and oxidative stress. In turn, these same compounds support joint function, particularly related to the pathways that cause chronic knee pain and joint arthritis1, 2. Other studies support this analysis3,4. In, perhaps, the most comprehensive review on metal-curcumin complexes recently published in the noted peer-reviewed International Journal of Molecular Sciences, researchers found the Zinc-Curcumin metal complex, found in TurmiZn-OS™, has antioxidant properties that would address various joint-health conditions when it comes to inflammation.5 Plus, Zinc is

known to be involved in bone tissue formation6. Science has also shown that elements in TurmiZn-OS™ support joint-related issues related to immune-mediated rheumatoid A7, and it levels the uric acid back to normal. Uric acid crystals are the primary cause of pain in smaller joints known as Gout.

Among other ingredients in Joint Support, undenatured type II Collagen has been found to be a vital part of forming cartilage and helps uphold the period during strenuous exertion and normalize joint issues associated from activity8. Joint Support also contains a proprietary Hyaluronic Acid which researchers have said is a “remarkable natural lubricant” for patients with knee osteoarthritis9.

Additionally, Joint Support contains MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) which is a source of sulfur found in the body that is important in the formation of collagen in joints; Glucosamine which is a natural constituent of cartilage that helps normalize function and supports mobility and flexibility of joints; Chondroitin which is also a building block of cartilage that supports joint strength by helping to resist compression in joints and attracts fluid to joints to support cushioning and lubrication; and Boswellia serrata Gum Resin which helps pathways during inflammation of joints, to support normal joint functioning.

For maximum opportunity to add cushion and flexibility to joint health, while impacting the pathways to pain and swelling, there may not be a better combination of ingredients.
